Treatments at Shine
This is highly individual and will depend on the severity of your condition.
Clients are advised to have at least 4-6 weekly treatments. Each acupuncture treatment plan is tailored specifically for every individual. This is wholly dependent on your response to treatment. Sometimes this is the minimum requirement, and it may well take this time to notice any change, particularly if it is a chronic, long-standing condition.
Much like a course of antibiotics, acupuncture should be considered as a series of treatments, and it is beneficial to complete the prescribed number of sessions. It is important to commit to several treatments to notice real, lasting change.
It should be noted that optimal results often depend on a commitment to lifestyle change and at SHINE, we aim to provide as much advice and support as possible to adapt to any recommended change.
If you do not notice a difference within the first 4-6 treatments, then we can reassess the situation. At SHINE Acupuncture we want to treat you effectively and hope that you will experience a shift in your condition. If you do not experience a noticeable change, then it is possible that the acupuncture treatment is not suitable at that time, but it is important to note that for some neurological conditions for example, a minimum treatment of 10 sessions is often advisable. Monthly “tune-ups” are also advised for a host of conditions, to maintain the body’s equilibrium and new status-quo.
